Zuckerberg Wants AI Running The Company:

Mark Zuckerberg is building a personal AI agent to help him manage Meta. It will pull company info faster and cut through layers of internal back-and-forth. Very convenient timing, given 20% of his staff might not be around much longer.
Things to Know:
The AI Buddy System: Zuck envisions every Meta employee working alongside an AI agent. He's starting with himself, building one that keeps him informed across the company without going through multiple people.
The Layoff Math: Meta reportedly plans to cut up to 20% of its workforce soon. The company has poured billions into AI and is now trimming payroll costs to keep up with its own spending.
$135 Billion and Counting: Meta plans to spend $135 billion on AI infrastructure. It also handed out $100 million pay packages to lure top AI talent away from competitors. Somebody's budget spreadsheet is having a rough year.
So Zuckerberg gets a robot sidekick while thousands of employees get a severance package. It's a classic case of "AI will work alongside humans," just not the humans who work at Meta.

Humanoid Robot Learns To Move Like Us:

A Chinese robotics company just showed off a humanoid robot that copies your every move in real time. One operator in a motion capture suit, and the robot matches every kick, wave, and turn without a delay.
Things to Know:
The Robot Called Titan o1: Westlake Robotics unveiled Titan o1 in Hangzhou, powered by its own AI model called GAE. One person can control multiple robots doing the same tasks at once.
The Cerebellum Comparison: GAE acts like the robot's cerebellum, handling balance, coordination, and motion on the fly. It executes actions it has never seen before, instantly and accurately.
One Model, Many Robots: The GAE foundation model works across robots of different shapes and sizes. Westlake calls this cross-embodiment capability, which is a fancy way of saying it fits most robots.
No Script, No Problem: Titan o1 does not follow pre-programmed routines. It adapts to whoever is operating it, no matter how unpredictably they move.
This is not just a cool demo. A robot that adapts to any operator, mirrors spontaneous actions, and scales across multiple units at once is a genuine shift in how humanoid robots get deployed. Things are moving fast.
Jensen Huang Declared AGI Arrived:

Jensen Huang went on the Lex Fridman podcast and dropped a line that got the whole internet talking. He said AGI is here right now, then quietly moved the goalposts to make sure it fit. Classic tech CEO move.
Things to Know:
The Big Claim: On Fridman's podcast, Huang said, "I think we've achieved AGI." He then defined AGI as an AI that can build a viral app and make a billion dollars briefly.
A Very Convenient Definition: Huang's AGI bar is a one-time commercial win, not sustained human-level intelligence. He even admitted 100,000 AI agents could not build another Nvidia.
Other CEOs, Other Takes: Sam Altman said AGI is nearly here but walked it back as "spiritual." Microsoft's Satya Nadella said the industry is nowhere close.
AGI means different things to different billionaires, and that gap is doing a lot of work right now. Huang's definition fits today's AI agents. The sci-fi version everyone imagines is still a different conversation entirely.
