The OpenAI Microsoft Deal Got a Makeover:

OpenAI and Microsoft rewrote their billion-dollar partnership on Monday. The AGI clause is gone, exclusivity is out, and OpenAI can now sell its models on any cloud it wants.

Things to Know:

  • The AGI Clause: That infamous "what if we build AGI?" contract rule is officially dead. Microsoft's IP rights now run through 2032, with no sci-fi escape hatch attached.

  • The Exclusivity Exit: OpenAI is no longer locked into Azure. It can now sell products through Amazon, Google, or any other cloud provider it fancies.

  • The Money Side: Microsoft stops paying its 20% revenue cut to OpenAI. OpenAI still pays Microsoft through 2030, but now with a cap and a fixed end date.

  • Who Really Wins: OpenAI gets freedom and becomes easier to value before its IPO. Microsoft keeps its 27% stake, Azure priority, and IP access through 2032.

This is less a breakup and more a business maturity moment for both companies. OpenAI gets room to grow as a real platform, and Microsoft stops pretending exclusivity was a forever strategy.

Taylor Swift Takes On the Deepfake Problem:

Taylor Swift just filed three trademark applications covering her voice and likeness. AI deepfakes have gone after her hard, so she is hitting back the only way that sticks: through legal paperwork.

Things to Know:

  • The Filing: Swift submitted two audio clips and one photo to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The clips feature her saying "Hey, it's Taylor" in two short promotional lines.

  • The Photo: The trademarked image shows her onstage in a sequined outfit, pink guitar in hand. It is as iconic as trademarks get.

  • Why Trademarks: Copyright law does not cover AI-cloned voices since no original recording gets copied. Trademarks fill that gap and cover "confusingly similar" imitations too.

  • Who Did This First: Actor Matthew McConaughey filed similar trademarks earlier this year. His "Alright, alright, alright" is officially protected, and Taylor is following the same playbook.

This approach has never been tested in court, so nobody knows how well it will actually hold up. But doing something is better than doing nothing when deepfakes are this out of control.

AI help, without the trust tax.

Most AI tools ask you to trade your data for intelligence. Norton Neo doesn't. It's the first safe AI-native browser built by Norton, and it gives you powerful built-in AI without handing your privacy over to get it. Search, summarize, and write with AI built directly into your browser. Your data stays yours. Your context stays private.

Built-in VPN, anti-fingerprinting, and ad blocking come standard. No add-ons. No setup. No compromises.

Fast. Safe. Intelligent. That's Neo.

Google Turns YouTube Into an AI Chat:

Google just launched "Ask YouTube," a chatbot-style search feature for the platform. Instead of typing keywords, you ask questions and get AI-generated answers with videos mixed right in.

Things to Know:

  • How It Works: You hit the "Ask YouTube" button in the search bar and type a question. The results come back as a text summary with longform videos, Shorts, and follow-up prompts.

  • Who Gets It: Right now, it is only for YouTube Premium subscribers in the US aged 18 and up. The experiment runs on desktop until June 8, unless YouTube decides to extend it.

  • Why It Matters: This is Google's AI Mode for Search, but applied to YouTube's 2.7 billion users. It answers your question directly instead of dumping a list of video links on you.

  • What Creators Should Know: AI-generated results may surface videos based on content relevance, not just titles. Nobody knows the exact ranking signals yet, which is a bit of a wildcard.

YouTube has been testing AI search features for a while, but this one feels like a real shift. The goal is to make video discovery feel less like a database search and more like asking a friend.

How to Simplify Customer Engagement with AI:

If you run a small business, a big chunk of your day probably goes into answering the same customer questions over and over on WhatsApp. Where's my order? What are your prices? Do you have this in stock?

Interakt is a WhatsApp business platform that lets you automate those conversations, run marketing campaigns, and manage your entire customer pipeline, all without writing a single line of code.

How it works:

  • Sign up and connect your WhatsApp number: Go to interakt.ai and start a free 14-day trial. You'll connect your business WhatsApp number through Meta's official API. No developer needed, the setup walks you through it step by step.

  • Build a chatbot for your common questions: Use the drag-and-drop chatbot builder to set up automated replies for FAQs, order status updates, appointment bookings, or lead qualification. You define the flow, and the bot handles the conversations.

  • Send bulk campaigns to your customers: Create broadcast messages for promotions, product launches, or reminders and send them to your entire contact list at once. You can segment your audience and personalize each message before sending.

  • Set up a shared team inbox: If you have a support team, multiple agents can manage incoming WhatsApp conversations from one shared dashboard. Chats get assigned automatically, so no message slips through the cracks.

  • Connect your existing tools: Interakt integrates with Shopify, WooCommerce, Razorpay, and other popular platforms. Your order data, payment info, and customer records stay in sync without manual updates.

  • Track how your campaigns perform: Check open rates, click-through rates, and conversion data from the analytics dashboard. Use that data to figure out what's working and adjust your messaging accordingly.

If a big chunk of your customer communication happens on WhatsApp, Interakt basically turns it into a proper business channel instead of a personal chat app you're barely keeping up with.
