Three New Models Put Microsoft Back In Race:

Microsoft spent years letting OpenAI do the heavy lifting. Not anymore. The company just dropped three in-house AI models, and they're already going toe to toe with the top players in the game.
Things to Know:
The New Model Trio: Microsoft released MAI-Transcribe-1, MAI-Voice-1, and MAI-Image-2 together. All three are available now on Microsoft Foundry and the new MAI Playground.
Image Model Climbs Fast: MAI-Image-2 debuted at number three on Arena.ai's text-to-image leaderboard. That puts it right behind Google and OpenAI on day one.
Voice and Transcription Too: MAI-Voice-1 can generate a full minute of audio in under one second. MAI-Transcribe-1 handles the speech-to-text side for enterprise workflows.
Breaking Free From OpenAI: A year ago, Microsoft ran almost everything on OpenAI's models. The MAI Superintelligence team is now building those capabilities from scratch.
This isn't just about cutting inference costs. Microsoft is betting that owning the models means owning the future. Whether OpenAI and Google are sweating over this yet is the real question.
Alibaba Is Done Giving Away AI for Free:

Alibaba has been one of the biggest names in open-source AI. That chapter is closing fast. Three new proprietary models in three days is not a coincidence. It's a strategy.
Things to Know:
Three Models, Three Days: Alibaba dropped three AI models in just three days. All are closed-source with no public code access for developers.
What Closed-Source Actually Means: Closed-source means developers cannot download, modify, or build on the code. You can use the model, but only on Alibaba's terms.
The Open-Source Pivot: Qwen models were previously open-source with massive community adoption. Alibaba is now locking the gate and pointing everyone toward paid plans.
The $100 Billion Target: Alibaba's CEO wants $100 billion in AI and cloud revenue within five years. Closed-source models are a direct route toward that number.
Alibaba spent years building trust by sharing its models openly. Now it wants to monetize that trust. Whether developers follow them behind a paywall is the part nobody knows yet.
The Biggest Knock on Private Credit? Percent Changed That.
The number one knock on private credit has always been the same: you can't get out. Lock in for 12 or 24 months, hope things go as planned, wait. Percent changed that in December 2025 with a secondary marketplace. Browse live bid and ask data on seasoned deals, submit an indication of interest to buy or sell, and Percent coordinates the match. For accredited investors who want private credit yields without locking up capital indefinitely, you can do that now. The numbers as of Q4 2025: · $1.82B funded across 981 deals · 16.72% current weighted average coupon · 0.58% lifetime charge-off rate Very few individual investor platforms offer this. New investors can receive up to $500 on their first investment.
Alternative investments are speculative. Secondary liquidity not guaranteed. Past performance not indicative. Terms apply.
OpenClaw Partners With Tencent And ByteDance:

OpenClaw was already a hit in China. Now it's getting woven into the apps that billions of people use every day. Tencent and ByteDance are not just fans. They're partners.
Things to Know:
QQ Gets the Claw: Tencent's QQ is now the first Chinese social app natively integrated into OpenClaw. Agents can be deployed directly inside users' private chats on the platform.
ByteDance Joins the Party: ByteDance launched ArkClaw, a cloud-based OpenClaw version that runs entirely in a browser. No downloads, no setup, no excuses.
China's "Lobster Fever" Is Real: People literally queued outside Tencent's HQ just to get OpenClaw installed on their laptops. China has already surpassed the U.S. in total OpenClaw adoption.
Tencent Goes Official: Tencent Cloud became an official OpenClaw community sponsor. One-click deployment servers and free setup events are running across 17 Chinese cities right now.
OpenClaw started as a tool built by one developer in Austria. China turned it into a national productivity movement. The rest of the world is still figuring out what to do with it.

How to Create Professional AI Voiceovers:

A decent voiceover used to mean renting studio time, hiring a voice actor, or spending an afternoon redoing takes because a fan was running somewhere in the building. That whole process is now optional.
ElevenLabs converts your text into lifelike audio that actually sounds like a human read it. Videos, podcasts, audiobooks, presentations. Whatever needs a voice, this handles it.
Here's how to get started:
Paste your script: Drop your text straight into the editor. No formatting needed.
Pick a voice: Choose from over 1,000 voices or clone your own if you want something that sounds specifically like you.
Set your language and tone: 70+ languages available, with control over pacing, emotion, and delivery style.
Preview and adjust: Fine-tune inflection and emphasis before you commit to the final version.
Export and use: Download the audio or plug it directly into your project via API.
If you create any kind of video or audio content and you're not using AI voices yet, this is the tool to start with.
