The Chinese tech giant Tencent has released a new version of its open-source video generation model, DynamiCrafter, on GitHub.

• DynamiCrafter: DynamiCrafter uses the diffusion method to convert captions and still images into short videos. This technology is part of China’s increasing efforts in the text- and image-to-video space.

• Upgraded Features: The second generation of DynamiCrafter produces videos at a pixel resolution of 640×1024, an improvement from the initial release. This advancement broadens the applicability of image animation techniques.

• Comparison with Competitors: Compared to Stable Video Diffusion and other models, DynamiCrafter appears slightly more animated. However, none of these models yet can produce full-fledged movies.

Generative videos are considered the next focal point in the AI race, following the boom of generative text and images. With tech giants like Tencent, ByteDance, Baidu, and Alibaba investing in this field, the race is certainly heating up.

Roblox Releases Real-Time AI Chat Translator:

Roblox, the popular online gaming platform, has announced a new feature that will allow its users to communicate across languages using AI-powered chat translations. This feature is aimed at fostering a more inclusive and diverse community of gamers and creators.
