Welcome back, AI enthusiast.
Pope Leo XIV released a landmark document on AI, and Anthropic Co-founder Chris Olah was there in person to respond.
He openly admitted that labs like his operate under pressures that don't always favor doing the right thing. So what happens when good intentions are not enough?

Anthropic Co-founder Spoke to Vatican Leaders:

Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah just gave a speech inside Vatican City. Pope Leo XIV released an encyclical on AI, and Chris Olah was invited to speak at its presentation. No, this is not a plot from a sci-fi novel.
Things to Know:
The Big Admission: AI labs operate under pressures that can conflict with doing the right thing. Olah openly admitted this includes Anthropic. That kind of honesty is rare in tech.
What These Systems Actually Are: AI models are not engineered like bridges or airplanes. They grow on human thought and language, and even their creators don't fully understand them.
Three Questions Nobody Is Answering: Olah raised three urgent issues: job displacement hitting the poor hardest, AI gains staying locked in wealthy nations, and the mysterious internal states these models seem to have.
Who Needs to Step Up: Olah's ask was simple but big. Religious communities, governments, and civil society must engage with AI before insiders shape the entire outcome.
The fact that an AI company co-founder stood in the Vatican and asked for outside criticism says a lot about where things stand. Tech and theology don't often share a stage, but here we are.
Google's New Model Saves Your Tokens:

Google's Antigravity platform had a token problem, and developers were not shy about saying so. Weekly quotas were vanishing within hours of simple coding sessions. So Google did something about it.
Things to Know:
The New Kid on the Block: Google introduced Gemini 3.5 Flash (Low) for routine coding tasks. It generates 45% fewer tokens than the standard model, now renamed Flash (Medium).
Wait, There Are Three Tiers Now: Low, Medium, and High variants now reflect how much reasoning each model applies. The original Gemini 3.5 Flash became Medium, and Gemini 3 Flash became High.
Still Better Than Expected: Flash (Low) sounds limited, but it actually outperforms the older Gemini 3 Flash on software engineering tasks. Less compute does not mean worse results here.
Quota Reset Included: Google reset Gemini quotas across all free and paid plans alongside this update. Developers get a clean slate while they adjust to the new setup.
A 45% drop in token usage for simple tasks is not a small fix. Google clearly heard the complaints and responded faster than expected. Developers who code inside Antigravity just got a much better week ahead.
Moda creates AI Decks that don't look AI-Generated
Every AI tool can create "AI slop". You know it the second you see it.
Moda is different: it learns your brand identity and applies it to every slide, document, and marketing asset your team makes. It learns your preferences so the designs get better over time.
The best part? Every layer is fully editable on a real canvas, and exports to powerpoint, PDF and more.
Moda has raised $7.5M from General Catalyst, Pear VC, and the founder of Dropbox.
Altman Says AI Won't Kill Your Job:

Sam Altman went to Sydney and said the quiet part out loud. AI has not wiped out white-collar jobs the way he expected, and he is actually relieved about it. Turns out, even OpenAI's CEO gets surprised sometimes.
Things to Know:
He Got the Tech Right, Not the Impact: Altman said OpenAI's technical predictions since ChatGPT's launch were mostly accurate. The social and economic fallout, though, landed very differently than expected.
The Human Part Still Matters: Even as AI handles more tasks across industries, Altman says some jobs still need a human touch. That reality has slowed the job displacement he once worried about.
Companies Are Still Cutting Though: Major firms like Amazon, HSBC, and Standard Chartered have replaced some roles with AI. So the concern is not completely off the table, just not at apocalypse scale yet.
The man who helped build the thing thought it would hit harder and faster. It hasn't, at least not yet. That is either genuinely good news or just a slower timeline than anyone had planned for.

How to Write Product Listings with AI Fast:

If you sell products online, you already know how much time goes into researching what to sell, writing titles, descriptions, and SEO copy, and then doing it all over again for every new product. Multiply that across dozens of SKUs and it becomes a full-time job on its own.
Catalister is an AI-powered platform that handles product research and listing creation for e-commerce sellers across Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce, Walmart, and more. You find the products, it writes the copy and surfaces the data.
Here's how to use it:
Sign up and connect your store: Create your account and link your e-commerce store. Catalister supports multiple platforms, so you can manage everything from one dashboard whether you sell on one channel or several.
Research trending products with AI: Use the research tools to surface profitable niches and trending products. Catalister analyzes competitor catalogs, sales velocity, pricing, and demand signals to show you what is worth selling before you commit to it.
Import products and generate listings automatically: Bring in products from AliExpress or competitor stores and let the AI generate optimized titles, bullet points, descriptions, and SEO metadata for each one. The better the product information you feed it, the stronger the output.
Track marketplace insights in real time: Catalister monitors pricing, inventory shifts, and keyword movements across your connected marketplaces so you can adjust your strategy without doing manual research every week.
Manage bulk operations across channels: If you have a large catalog, use the bulk tools to import, edit, or push updates to all connected stores at once instead of handling each product individually.
If you run a dropshipping store or manage a multi-channel catalog and spend too much time on the writing and research side of things, this is worth a look.
