Claude Tag Is Your New Slack Coworker:
Your Slack just got a permanent new coworker, and it never takes a lunch break. Anthropic launched Claude Tag, an always-on AI agent that lives inside Slack, remembers your team's work, and actually gets things done without being asked twice.
Things to Know:
More Than a Chatbot: Claude Tag is not your typical prompt-and-reply assistant. Tag @Claude in any channel, and it breaks the task into steps, works through them, and reports back in the thread.
It Actually Remembers Stuff: The more Claude Tag follows along in a channel, the more context it builds over time. Your team stops repeating itself, and Claude stops asking the same questions.
Ambient Mode Is the Wild Part: Turn on ambient mode and Claude stops waiting to be tagged. It monitors channels, flags updates, and jumps in when it thinks your team needs a heads-up.
Who Gets It First: Claude Tag is now in beta for Claude Enterprise and Team customers, replacing the old Claude in Slack app. Existing users have until August 3 to migrate on their own terms.

China just pulled off two major medical AI wins in the same week. A surgical robot earned EU clearance, and an AI model beat every global rival on the toughest medical benchmark around.

The Robot That Operates Remotely: MedBot's Toumai robot became the first remote surgical robot to earn the EU's CE mark. It already performed a prostate removal surgery across 2,400 kilometers in the UK earlier this year.
An AI Model That Outscored Doctors: Baichuan's M4 topped OpenAI's HealthBench, beating every other AI model including GPT-5.5. It also scored the lowest hallucination rate in medical AI at just 3.3%.
