Anthropic Just Dropped Its Most Powerful Model:

Anthropic just launched Claude Fable 5, and it is not your usual model update. This is a Mythos-class AI made available for public use, and the capabilities are unlike anything they have released before.
Things to Know:
Software Engineering: Stripe used Fable 5 to run a full migration on a 50-million-line Ruby codebase in a single day. That same job would have taken an entire team over two months to finish manually.
Knowledge and Vision: Fable 5 topped Hebbia's Finance Benchmark for senior-level reasoning and set a new standard for vision-based tasks. It can rebuild a web app's source code from screenshots alone, which is genuinely wild.
Drug Discovery: Using Mythos 5, Anthropic's internal team accelerated parts of the drug design process by around ten times. Nine out of 14 protein targets produced strong candidates currently under investigation.
Safety and Pricing: The model ships with classifiers that route sensitive topics to Opus 4.8 instead, keeping misuse in check. Both Fable 5 and Mythos 5 are priced at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens.
Fable 5 is available right now and free on paid plans through June 22 before moving to usage credits. After that, Anthropic plans to restore it as a standard subscription feature once capacity catches up.
The Chrome Extension That Catches AI Mistakes:

AI tools are great at sounding confident. They're less great at being right every single time, especially for research, analysis, or anything with real stakes. That's where most people get burned.
Cuey is a Chrome extension that works alongside ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. It runs your prompt across multiple models in the background and shows you where they disagree or where a stronger answer exists. Think of it as a pressure test for every important AI response you get.
The best part? You don't change anything about how you already work. Just install it, use your usual AI tools like normal, and Cuey quietly does its thing in the background.
It also keeps your memory portable across all your tools, so you never have to re-explain your context when you switch from one model to another.
It's free to start, and with code INCREDIBLE60, you get 60 days of Cuey Pro at zero cost, no credit card required.
Google Sparks AI Subscription Price War:

Google just cut the price of its AI Plus plan from $7.99 to $4.99 a month, and doubled the storage to 400GB on top of that. This is not a small tweak. It is a direct move to pull users away from rivals before they settle in elsewhere.
Things to Know:
The Plan Itself: Google AI Plus comes with video generation, NotebookLM, and Google Flow. It targets students and individual users, not enterprise teams paying premium rates.
The Price War: OpenAI launched a sub-$5 ChatGPT plan in India last August and Google matched it in December. Now that same logic has arrived in the US market for the first time.
Who Gets Squeezed: Venture investor Chi-Hua Chien told TechCrunch that AI infrastructure companies, including OpenAI and Anthropic, face the same commoditization that killed Cisco's dominance after the web era.
Anthropic's Position: Unlike Google and OpenAI, Anthropic has no budget tier or localized pricing anywhere. With both OpenAI and Anthropic filing confidentially for IPOs, that gap is getting harder to ignore.
Google is playing a long game here, and the price cut is only the opening move. The real question is whether ChatGPT and others follow before users make up their minds. Your wallet is suddenly very popular in Silicon Valley.
Canva Empowers Users To Create Offline:

Canva has rolled out an offline mode, and yes, it actually works the way you want it to. You can now design for up to 14 days without touching the internet, and everything syncs back automatically once you reconnect.
Things to Know:
How It Works: Users pre-save designs through the "Make available offline" option. No extra downloads, no new subscriptions, no complicated setup needed at all.
Who It Is For: The rollout targets students, creators, educators, and professionals in low-connectivity regions. India, one of Canva's fastest-growing markets, was a big focus here.
Auto-Sync on Reconnect: Any edits made offline sync automatically the moment your internet comes back. You never lose your work, which is honestly the most important part.
Learn Grid Too: Canva also launched Learn Grid, an AI-powered education hub for teachers. It covers 16-plus languages and generates curriculum-based activities across 30-plus formats, free of charge.
This update has been one of the most requested features from Canva's user community for years. They finally listened, and the timing could not be better for creators in mobile-first markets. Your designs no longer need a Wi-Fi babysitter.
