AI Companies Are Going Full Military Now:

The Pentagon is deepening its AI arsenal with fresh deals involving Nvidia, Microsoft, AWS, and Reflection AI. These partnerships aim to strengthen classified networks. The military is clearly betting big on AI.
Things to Know:
New Partnerships: Nvidia, Microsoft, AWS, and Reflection AI have signed agreements with the Pentagon. These deals authorize operational use of advanced AI tools on classified military networks.
Expanding Coalition: These companies join SpaceX, OpenAI, and Google, which recently agreed to provide AI tools for defense. The Pentagon is building a broad coalition of tech firms for military AI deployment.
Strategic Purpose: The Pentagon aims to accelerate transformation into an AI-first fighting force. Officials emphasize lawful operational use, highlighting AI’s growing role in defense strategy and national security.
The Pentagon’s AI expansion signals a future where algorithms play a central role in defense. Tech giants are now key allies. The question remains: how far will military AI go?
Google Wants to Monetize Gemini With Ads:

Google's Gemini has been one of the few AI chatbots that felt refreshingly clean. No banners, no sponsored results, just answers. That quiet era is quietly wrapping up. Google is eyeing ads inside its Gemini AI app.
Things to Know:
The Earnings Call Moment: During the Q1 2026 earnings call, Google's chief business officer Philipp Schindler said the company is "open-minded" about exploring ads inside the Gemini app.
How It Gets There: Schindler told investors that a format working well in AI Mode would "transfer successfully to the Gemini app," with current ad tests already running in AI Overviews and AI Mode for Search.
The Spin on It: Schindler framed ads as "really valuable and really helpful commercial information" when done well, adding the company is "not rushing into anything."
Gemini still has no ads today, and Google says it is not in a hurry. But when executives start calling ads "helpful information" on earnings calls, the clock has usually already started. Your AI chatbot is growing up, and growing up means selling you things.

Qwen Ships a Tool to Read AI Minds:

AI models have always been a bit like a really smart friend who cannot explain their own thinking. Qwen just dropped a tool that changes that. It is called Qwen-Scope, and it is open source.
Things to Know:
What It Does: Qwen-Scope moves sparse autoencoders from being a post-inspection tool to an actual interface for building and fixing language models, with 14 groups of SAEs released for Qwen3 architectures.
Fix Models Without Retraining: Using inference steering, you can suppress or amplify internal features to fix a model's output on the fly, without updating any model weights. They stopped random language mixing by suppressing a single Chinese language feature.
Skip Redundant Benchmarks: Tracking which SAE features a benchmark activates shows you dataset redundancy clearly. If multiple reasoning problems trigger the same features, you can sample a small subset and still get identical model rankings.
No Classifier Needed: For toxicity detection, a simple rule over a few toxic-biased SAE features works as a classifier and hits an F1 score above 0.90, with those features transferring well across European languages.
This is the kind of tool that makes AI development faster and less painful for everyone building on these models. Qwen did not just release weights. They handed developers an actual window into what the model is doing inside its own head.

How to Rank in AI Search Results:

Google rankings still matter, but more people are skipping search entirely and asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI Overview for recommendations. If your brand isn't showing up in those answers, you're losing potential customers before they ever visit your site.
RankPrompt is a tool that tracks how often AI platforms mention your brand and helps you figure out what to do to show up more.
How it works:
Run a visibility report: Sign up at rankprompt.com and enter your brand name and website. RankPrompt queries ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews with prompts related to your industry and shows you exactly where you appear and where your competitors show up instead.
Check your citation sources: See which websites AI platforms are pulling from when they make recommendations. This tells you where you need a presence, a mention, or a backlink to improve your chances of being cited.
Generate content that AI prefers: Use the built-in content generator to create comparison articles, ranked lists, and FAQ pages optimized specifically for AI search visibility. Publish directly to WordPress or a hosted blog.
Set up automated reports: Schedule weekly or monthly visibility checks so you can track whether your efforts are actually moving the needle over time.
If you're investing in SEO but ignoring how AI platforms talk about your brand, you're only doing half the job.
